This Ash Wednesday, February 17th Hip hop Group the Ashy L Bowz will release their sophomore album "The Great Repression". Their debut album "No Lotion" was nominated for Independent Rap Album of the year in 2008. "The Great Repression" looks to be even more well received and features production from G Ryder and Music Mystro who have produced hits for Jim Jones, LFL, Juelz Santana & LL Cool J to name a few. The concept for the name is the combination of the words Recession and Depression, because as they put it "The recession is depressing". RUDEBWOY is Haitian blood born. Raised in Miami, Florida, in a traditional Haitian household. His music loves were influenced by Haitian compa, dancehall, and hip-hop. Perseverance, adversity, and the will to survive was instilled by his biggest hero, his mother.

Rudebwoy found his voice and started rapping at the age of 17. After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Army as a combat medic. Dictionary.com defines fresh-pure, cool, or refreshing, as air. Put that with Gudda and how could you go wrong? Octavius Keitt, affectionately known as Gudda Fresh, is apart of the new breed of Florida rappers. Hailing from Opa-Locka, Florida he was forced to grow up in a hard-knock environment. And being the oldest from a single mother wasn’t easy either. He felt as if he had to protect his mother and younger brother at all times. “If anyone messed with my mamma or brother it was like the end for them”, he recalls. That also resulted into many altercations and trouble for the young Gudda Fresh. Many were in the hood, but in school also. Being kicked out of several Miami-Dade public schools was a wake up call for him. He decided to put all the extra energy into something positive. “I was spiraling out of control man. I had to get right”, he explains. He linked up wit a neighborhood friend named RIP aka Da Ripster that convinced him to get into battle rapping scene. “I liked battle rapping but it wasn’t really my forte’.” Gudda Fresh later went on to record his first track which was a gospel song called “Lean and Rock”. In doing that he met Andre Johnson aka Chosen. Chosen inspired Gudda Fresh to perfect his craft. And that is just what he did. He was on the road to success until he suffered a major blow. On August 20, 2005 his mother, Latonya S. Keitt died. He took that harder than you can imagine. She was the only parent he ever knew so it was like he lost everything. She was not only his mother, but his best friend as well. Gudda Fresh quickly went back to his troublesome ways. Until he got what we all would say is a wake up call. His first child, Octavius Keitt Jr. was born. Shortly after his second son Jayden Keitt arrived. So he knew it was time to get back on track. It was time to grind. Entering various talent showcases and getting as much exposure was what he did. He even performed for the syndicated radio host Tom Joyner. Gudda Fresh was not giving up until his name was saturated in the streets. Now the proud father of three wonderful kids, Octavius Jr, Jayden and Khaleah, it’s now or never for Gudda Fresh. He has released hits such as “Show Love”, “Thro My Cash” "We Live" and “Miss My Baby” (a tribute to his mother). They all are starting to get buzz on the local Miami scene. Its now time to take it mainstream. Confident and excited about what the future has in store for him, Gudda Fresh is now more focused than ever. Currently working on his first full length LP, I would say “He’s on his way!”

With Hip-Hop nowadays being so basic and predictable, it is almost impossible to find a change that will keep listeners at attention and on their toes in anticipation for undeniably good music. Especially in Southern Hip-Hop. Don’t get us wrong, we do enjoy what we’ve brought to the table thus far: Crunk, Snap, Grillz, etc. But even we’ve got to admit that something fresh, something new, something rare and DESPERATELY needed HAS to be unleashed. That “something” belongs to someone. An artist, a poet, a lyricist, a mastermind, a prodigy; Nic Nak. Born Nicholas Nehemiah Daniels on December 30, 1986 in Miami, Florida to parents Sandra and Nathaniel Daniels, this gifted individual was destined to be a star. Since the early years of elementary school, self-expression has always played a part in Nick’s life, which was often translated through the art of poetry. As he began to mature and experience the realities life brings, his poetry slowly began taking the form of (rap) music in which the inspirations of pioneers like Outkast and 2pac helped pave the way. Their creativity and consciousness helped broaden his horizons when making music was concerned. At the age of 12, while in the 7th grade at John F. Kennedy Middle School, he became a member of a class rap group call “The Proplayyaz”. Even though their run as a group was short-lived, (an entire school year) Nick never gave up on his passion for music and continued strong pursuing his dream. A couple years down the road, upon beginning his 9th grade year at North Miami Beach Senior High School, he met up with friend and future partner in rhyme, Maceo Williams aka Young The Double Threat. The two combined their very unique and very different styles and established the infamous Beach 2 Da Beans. (Note: Beach standing for Nick being from North Miami Beach and Beans standing for Mace being from the Poke N Beans Projects in Liberty City). Fast forward to 2007 and the duo is still going strong. Nick, however, is also working on solo endeavors for what he hopes will be the launch pad for his, Young’s, and the B.2. Entertainment family’s supreme reign in the industry.
